FRC Post-Season Events

Good afternoon,

As we head into summer planning, here are some upcoming events to keep in mind. The off-season includes many outreach activities, and all students are encouraged to participate. That said, we understand this is also a time for work, travel, and other fun activities. We do ask that students make every effort to be available during our Junior Bot summer camps, as these are a major fundraiser for our 2026 season.

Robotics @ Iowa Trivia Night

Join us for a fun evening supporting the Robotics @ Iowa program as they fundraise for their upcoming competition. We’ll be demoing our robot, and students are free to participate. Family and friends can attend for $10. It’s a great way to explore future STEM opportunities and connect with alumni.

End of Season Picnic

Celebrate the end of our 2025 Reefscape season at Penn Meadows Park! This is a potluck for team members and families. We’ll be handing out Corny Awards and recognizing our graduating seniors. (Rain location: KRC)

Iowa City Block Party (Regional Fundraiser)

We’ll be working the registration/info table at the Iowa City Block Party. This is a fundraiser for our 2026 regional costs. We need 10 volunteers, and each participant will receive $45 toward regional or off-season event fees. Open to both students and parents.

Junior Bot Summer Camps

Save the dates:

• June 23–26

• August 11–14 Camps run 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM. We’ll share shift sign-ups and volunteer training info with students later in May.

Rock River Robotics Offseason Event 

This one-day event replicates a mini regional. It's a great chance to explore new roles, try driving, and sharpen mechanical skills. No cost to attend—just bring money for lunch or concessions.

We’re still finalizing July and August events, but save the date for our CornK Fun Run & Cornhole Tournament on August 2nd, 8:30–10:30 AM. More events and details will be added to the calendar and shared in our end-of-month update.
