UNI has implemented a clear bag policy this year. Students will be able to bring a backpack through a special entrance, but all spectators will need to bring a clear bag.
No outside food or drink is allowed. Students will be walking to a dining center for lunch, or the drive team will have boxed lunches delivered. Bring a reusable water bottle; there will be water stations provided throughout the venue for teams.
Students interested in singing the National Anthem at Iowa or being a Student Ambassador, please reach out as soon as possible.
Spring Break Meetings
The lab will be open regular hours throughout spring break. Depending on availability, we may open up added times for students who will be in town. We also have a couple of events happening next week.
IDT Headquarters Tour: Tuesday, March 18th, 1-2 pm at their 1710 Commercial Park location
Students attending need to have a signed media release and must wear long pants (not leggings) with closed-toed shoes.
The tour is limited to 9 students. We will be using a first-come, first-served system for this. If additional students are interested, we can schedule another tour for later in the year.
Mini Bots at the Library: Wednesday, March 19th, 3-4 pm at the Iowa City Public Library
Looking for 4-5 students to help with our Spring Break Mini Bots camp using the LEGO EV3 robots
This is a joint event with the FIRST Student Leadership Board. They will be hosting a Littles in STEM camp at the same time.
Feel free to reach out with any questions or comments. Competition season is a busy time, and there are a lot of moving parts.
Thanks,
Madison Kriege
