FIRST LEGO League

Iowa City Robotics is proud to host four FIRST LEGO League teams in partnership with the Iowa City Public Library. Our teams compete in two divisions: Explore for students in 2nd–3rd grade and Challenge for students in 4th–8th grade.
FIRST LEGO League is a hands-on robotics program where students work together to design, build, and program robots, explore real-world problems, and develop creative solutions. Along the way, students learn teamwork, problem-solving, and collaboration through the FIRST Core Values.
Teams meet once or twice a week from September through February at the Iowa City Public Library, working together to prepare for tournaments, showcases, and other community events.
