FRC Team 167 Children of the Corn
Team 167 Children of the Corn is a premier robotics team serving students throughout the Greater Iowa City Area.
Made up of roughly 45 dedicated high school students, Team 167 is a year-round program where students can explore their passions, develop technical skills, and grow as leaders.
No experience is necessary to join Team 167. Come with an open mind and a willingness to learn. There is a place for everyone on Children of the Corn, with opportunities ranging from building and programming to media, teaching younger students, working with other teams, and more.
What Does a Year Look Like?

Fall: Learn, train, and prepare

January–March: Build and test the competition robot

March–April: Regional competitions and Championship

Year-round: Outreach, workshops, fundraising, and team activities
Build
Design, fabricate, assemble, and test the robot
Robot Programming
Program the robot and develop controls for competition
Business & Awards
Manage fundraising, outreach, marketing, and award submissions
Scouting & Strategy
Analyze teams and matches to develop competition strategy

Complete Liability & Release Forms
Print, complete, and return Liability & Release Forms
Students under 18 must have a parent or guardian complete this step -
Register through FIRST STIMS
Apply to join Team 167 through STIMS
Students under 18 will need a parent or guardian to complete the registration
Be sure to complete the Consent & Release forms in your FIRST profile -
Attend an Open Lab or FRC Intro Night
Come to an Open Lab or FRC Intro Night to meet the team and get connected
